Assistant Project Administrator: The Ephraim Project

Are you a team player with a personal passion to reach people for Jesus?

Are you teachable, flexible and willing to pursue team goals?

Are you comfortable using social media and excited to apply it in missions to reach into the Middle East?

Are you excited about using technology in a creative way in your ministry?

The Ephraim Project is a social media outreach. One aspect is in partnership with national believers who are using an overt Christian message in their native language. The content they develop is for people seeking to learn about Christianity where they engage in spiritual conversations, receive counseling, and discipleship. The second aspect of the project uses English conversation to build relationships. Through these English social media groups, members whose interest is to improve their English find friendships, and seeds of the Gospel are planted.

As well as shared oversight of the Ephraim project, your daily focus would be English conversation - an exciting outreach that brings together language learners in an informal manner. Learners are grouped by native language, and sessions are in audio and written formats. Online chat sessions are topical, with some grammar and spelling reinforcement. The sessions are held to allow practice in spoken and written English, rather than English instruction in a formal setting. Several English-speaking volunteers participate in the chat sessions.

The Assistant Project Administrator responsibilities include:
  • Shared oversight of the Ephraim project.
  • Recruiting and training volunteers for the English conversation outreach.
  • Participating in the online English chat sessions.
  • Coordinating and scheduling volunteers for chat sessions.
  • Administration of the English groups.
  • Developing topics for discussion and providing discussion resources for volunteers.
  • Assisting in partnership communication and direction.
Requirements include:
  • Native English speaker with the ability to correct errors in spoken and written English. No formal English language certification necessary.
  • A passion for missions and disciple-making among unreached people holding various worldviews.
  • Availability to live and work from the regional office in Spain.
  • A commitment to serving as a missionary long-term in this role.
  • Experience of how to use social media platforms.
  • Willingness to raise your missionary support and/or be self-funded.

We are looking for two people to join our team for the Ephraim Project. An Assistant Project Administrator and Social Media Technical Support person. And if you see yourself as a partial fit for both positions, we would love to talk to you about how God could use you in this project.

All candidates must be able to sign the Reach Beyond Statement of Faith.
