Giving Help - Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is Reach Beyond’s tax status?  Reach Beyond is a trade name for World Radio Missionary Fellowship, Inc., contributions to which are tax-deductible unless otherwise stated. Our Tax ID# is 59-0939206.
  • Will I receive a tax statement for my gift?  Yes. For donations made online, you will receive an email receipt and a paper receipt. For donations sent through the mail, you will receive a paper receipt. All donors will also receive a Year-End Giving Statement in January recapping the tax year’s total contributions.
  • How does Reach Beyond handle my gift?  All gifts to approved Reach Beyond projects and missionaries are used as requested by the donor, with the understanding that when the need has been met or the missionary’s status changes, the gift will then be applied where needed most at the discretion of Reach Beyond, preferably to a similar project or missionary. In keeping with IRS guidelines, Reach Beyond has complete control and administration over the use of tax-deductible donations received for ministries within Reach Beyond.
  • How does Reach Beyond handle finances?  At Reach Beyond, being fiscally responsible is a top priority to ensure that every dollar is carefully placed to maximize ministry impact. We highly value transparency, so we have posted our audited financial statements, detailing how your dollars are allocated for kingdom work. We believe in accountability, so we’ve worked diligently to meet the standards of the ECFA and other financial accreditations.
  • When I sign up as a recurring monthly donor (+partner), what date will my credit card be charged?  You will have the option of choosing the date for your recurring donation to automatically occur each month.  
  • How can I make changes to my account (i.e. password and contact information)?   Start by clicking on the user icon on the top menu bar (just left of the shopping cart) to login into your account.  Click on the user icon, and select "My Profile" to edit your contact info, or change your password.
  • Can I make changes to my automatic recurring donations online (i.e. change donation amount, credit card used)?   Start by clicking on the user icon on the top menu bar (just left of the shopping cart) to login into your account.  Once logged in, click on the user icon, and select "My Giving" to see your past donations, your recurring donations, and payment methods. Simply click edit or add to make changes.  If you do not see the recurring donation listed that you want to change, please call our donations department at 800-545-9394 and we will be happy to make those changes for you.  
  • Can I donate by check?  Yes. Please make checks payable to Reach Beyond and include a note for the project or missionary account you would like to contribute to. Mail checks to: Reach Beyond, PO Box 39800, Colorado Springs, CO 80949-9800.
  • Who can I call to ask questions about donating?  Please call 800-545-9394 for any questions concerning your gifts to Reach Beyond.
  • How can I make a personal gift to a missionary?  It is often safer to send a personal gift through our office than directly to the missionary. Indicate in the comment section that your gift is a “Personal Gift for (missionary’s name).” Personal gifts are not tax-deductible.
  • Are there any service fees if I give by credit card?  Yes and No. There are no additional fees charged to you for gifts made to Reach Beyond using a credit card. However credit card companies do charge Reach Beyond roughly 3% of each transaction.  You will have the opportunity during the checkout process to give an extra gift to cover this fee.  You can also give through an automatic electronic funds transfer to help us avoid these credit card transaction fees.
