Sheryl and I met at Wheaton College and knew before we were married in 1984 that God was calling us to the mission field. On February 3, 1988, we arrived in Quito where Dan has served as Financial Controller, Director of Human Resources for National Personnel, Director of Hospital Vozandes, s Vice President and Executive Director for Latin America. Sheryl and Dan are now based in Colorado Springs where Dan serves as the Finance Director for Reach Beyond, USA and continues to chair the hospital board and serves on another board both in Ecuador. It is great seeing our national partners taking the lead in the ministries in Latin America. Sheryl uses her gifts teaching in Colorado Springs. We are adjusting to a smaller family as we only have Micah, our only high schooler at home with us now. One son in college and another working in the trades. Our five oldest are married and we have three beautiful grandchildren. A ministry highlight is staying connected with the church we helped to start in 1999--La Iglesia Reformada de la Gracia. It is now reproducing itself in other churches and ministries in Ecuador. What a blessing to be privileged to serve our Lord Jesus Christ where He leads us!
