Ian and Linda McFarland are both registered nurses who have had the privilege of serving the Ecuadorian people since January 1994.

After two years of working in the Hospital Vozandes Quito, Ian became involved in the ministry of Medical Caravans, a ministry which he now directs. Medical Caravans works in the underserved areas of Ecuador, presenting the Gospel and giving medical and dental assistance wherever we work.

Linda spent some years working at Hospital Vozandes in the areas of emergency, inpatient and wound clinic. She then served as a nurse at the Alliance Academy International and often hosted guests in their home.

In 2014, the McFarlands moved the caravan ministry down to Shell, at the edge of the Amazon. They continue ministering there, serving the indigenous people - sharing their love for Christ and offering medical and dental assistance to villages where there is little access to this kind of care.
