We served with HCJB (World Radio now Reach Beyond) from September l963 until we retired July 1, 2003. Joe served in the printshop and he was part of the team of four (HCJB missionaries) who started a prison ministry in Ecuador. He served in various prisons in Ecuador and together we served in the Latacunga prison. Ruth sang with the HCJB choir, helped with music at the Inaquito Evangelical Church and English Fellowship Church, and held weekly Bible studies in her home. She served in the Operating Room, Recovery Room, and delivery room suite. They both served in the Sunday visitation of the patients and different departments of the Quito hospital giving the Gospel. He was very active serving on the housing committee and supervising the construction of Harmony Hall and the 10 plex. We both served with an Ecuadorian team doing Coastal Evangelism twice a year It was the most gratifying years of our lives serving with World Radio.

Here in Mansfield, we both serve in two nursing homes giving vesper services and also visit another nursing home where we menter two friends.  Ruth is the afternoon and weekend prayer coordinator of our local church and helps with music at our Vesper services for the Seniors.
