Wayne and his wife, Esther, both came to a saving knowledge of Christ as children and met while students at Moody Bible Institute. They served as Special Representatives of HCJB (now Reach Beyond) in Western Michigan from 1975 to 1989. In 1989, the Lord called them into full-time missionary service with HCJB and were assigned to work with the World Radio Network at the US-Mexico border. Their ministry involved building and operating missionary FM radio stations broadcasting in the Spanish language. In 2003, they relocated to Elkhart, Indiana, where Wayne is on loan to SonSet Solutions.

Esther was involved in hospitality, correspondence and being a homemaker. She went home to be with the Lord in May, 2014.

Wayne continues to serve as an active retiree at SonSet Solutions where he assembles and ships FM broadcast antennas to ministry partners around the world. These antennas are used by Christian radio stations at over five hundred locations in more than one hundred countries. He feels that it’s a great blessing to know that people throughout the world are coming to Christ and being discipled in their own language and culture through the ministry of these partner stations.
