Location: Ecuador

• A passion for disciple-making among unreached people
• A medical background (doctor, physician assistant, nurse, midwife, etc.)
• The ability and desire to live and serve overseas as a missionary
• Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
• A willingness to work with local partners on a multi-cultural team
• Flexibility and a tolerance for uncertainty
• Imagination to see and exploit opportunities that may arise
• The ability and desire to go to the field now (within 1 year), including time to raise your support and/or be self-funded
• A commitment to serving long-term in this position
• A willingness to learn the local language (Spanish)

We are looking for medical missionary professionals (doctor, physician assistant, nurse, midwife, etc.) to join our Reach Beyond field team to serve among rural community groups in Ecuador. Opportunities to develop medical service in the region include mobile caravans, partnering with local Ministry of Health initiatives, and more. The setting is often informal and the critically important building of relationships over time requires patience and grace. In this community-based work, the acquisition of language skills and sensitivity to cultural norms is crucial to gaining credibility.
