HCJB Global-UK Audio Clip Ties Into Wimbledon Tennis Tournament
What if church were like a tennis match? "With Wimbledon upon us, it's an intriguing question," said HCJB Global-UK Director Colin Lowther.
Wimbledon is the world's oldest tennis tournament and generally considered the most prestigious. It has been held at the All England Club in the London suburb of Wimbledon since 1877 and is taking place June 22-July 5 this year. It is one of the four Grand Slam tennis tournaments and the only one still played on grass courts.
Whistling Frog Productions, HCJB Global-UK's award-winning radio group, has produced a lively one-minute audio clip that ties in to Wimbledon. The file is available to churches, schools and any interested persons, and can be downloaded free of charge from the Internet.
"'Wimbledon Church' is a short dramatization of what church could be at its best in the style of a nail-biting tennis rally,' Lowther explained. "This thought-provoking material is ideal for using in church or for starting discussions in the classroom."
The MP3 file can be downloaded from Audiopot, HCJB Global-UK's online library of creative Christian audio at www.audiopot.org. This popular website provides more than 1,600 MP3 files of thoughts, interviews and faith stories.
