After only five months on the air the radio program, "Heart Companion" is getting an impressive response from radio listeners. The partnership of two Christian broadcasters (FEBA Radio and HCJB Global Voice) launched the 30-minute program in January. It's heard five days a week and is designed to encourage believers.

Responses to the program's website tell the story. "I am really amazed to see this Christian resource in our language," wrote one listener. Another responded, "I praise the Lord that there is a website like this one. I read the Bible online and study many useful things."

These comments take on even greater significance when one considers the persecution and isolation that is prevalent in Central Asia where the broadcasts can be heard.

While the program helps to disciple the church it also encourages believers to recognize that they are not alone. "The program's goal is not just to help Christians to keep going, but to help the church grow, stimulating believers to share their faith in a relevant, non-confrontational way," commented Peter Philips of FEBA.

While prayer for local Christians to grow in their faith and to meet together in house groups is appreciated, intercession for the security of the radio production team is also urgent. Just delivering the programs to the transmission site can be threatening. As another listener wrote, "Let all your plans and ideas be fulfilled with the help of our Lord.
