Satellite dishes atop apartment buildings--a common site throughout the North Africa/Middle East Region--can pick up Christian radio programs aired from HCJB Global Voice. |
"The judge has dropped all accusations on him," said a mission administrator in the North Africa/Middle East Region last week. "Our friend and his wife are now [at] their parents' village to rest. Thanks for your prayers." He also credits the work of a lawyer who was hired to help the man gain his freedom.
"It is beyond what you can express in words!" exclaimed the administrator upon hearing of the court's decision to dismiss the man's case last month. "He and his wife are exhausted after spending some weeks in the middle of nowhere."
The man was detained and questioned by authorities earlier this year after discovering that he had been producing radio programs. "He is a key player to reach his own people," the administrator said. "Persecution is getting worse. The 'spring' has turned into 'winter' for the Christians."
"Pray for protection," the administrator urged. "There are people out there willing to risk their lives."
"People like him are my heroes," added the regional director. "We learn for them. They are living examples to me, and God has used them to change my life."
