Zamir* is a professional who lives in a Central Asian country where sharing the Gospel is highly restricted. It is also a place where there are very few believers, and Christians regularly face opposition and persecution. Yet, God has given Zamir the courage to share his faith with co-workers, despite the risks.

Zamir loves to listen to Radio Renewal* using an app on his mobile phone, and he plays it whenever he is driving in his car. At first, he was afraid to listen to any Christian content while his co-workers were traveling with him, but he says now he can safely play almost all topics.

Not long ago, Zamir was driving with several of his co-workers when one of them scoffed, “Why do you listen to this?”

The person in the back seat spoke up before Zamir had the chance to respond, saying, “It’s not bad, it’s actually a really good message.” Zamir said, “I was left speechless as the two of them started arguing. In that situation, I saw the state of the two thieves on the cross—it’s difficult for someone to believe unless God opens their heart. Afterwards, I started to explain why I listen to the programs. The first person remained firm in their opinion, but the second one opened up even more. Now, he is much closer to me, and we will listen again.”

Zamir says that Radio Renewal’s* programs are living words that awaken people and encourage them to ask questions, because the content is directed at the heart.

Every day, Reach Beyond is proclaiming and demonstrating the Good News of Jesus to unreached people. God is using our radio and digital media efforts to transform lives in some of the most Gospel-resistant countries in the world. Our medical teams are using compassionate care to demonstrate the Gospel in some pretty difficult places. God is also using us to enable indigenous church-planting efforts through radio and clean water that have resulted in dozens of new churches in villages where there had been no believers, and now thousands of people are following Jesus.
