EXPLORE MEDICAL MISSIONS IN THE AMAZON

ECUADOR MEDICAL VISION TRIP | October 2026

In partnership with Voz y Manos & Reach Beyond

Is God calling you to serve long-term in medical missions?

Come and take this next exploratory step.

This short-term vision trip to Ecuador is designed for medical professionals and allied health workers who are curious about long-term service in cross-cultural, low-resource settings. You’ll journey into Ecuador’s Amazon basin and experience first-hand how medical care and gospel hope intersect to serve vulnerable communities.

What You’ll Experience

You won’t just visit—you’ll step into the daily realities of medical mission work. This is a unique chance to:

Shadow Voz y Manos’ community health team, who deliver care to remote indigenous communities
Observe a local government clinic and a longstanding mission hospital in the rural town of Shell
Engage in medical caravans in partnership with Ecuador’s public health system
Travel by plane or canoe to access a remote Amazonian community
Witness sustainable partnerships that blend community health, social work, and discipleship
Reflect daily as a team on what God is showing you about missions

What Makes This Trip Unique

Dr. Anna Claire Cusick, who leads the medical work of Voz y Manos, integrates community health, social work, and spiritual care. You’ll see firsthand how:

• Government partnerships enable long-term access to care
• Flights and medicine are used strategically for hard-to-reach areas
• A holistic approach—linking medical, spiritual, and social needs—brings lasting impact
• Relational trust with communities is built through years of presence and service
• Allied health professionals (like nurses, diabetes educators, physios, or social workers) play a vital role in filling healthcare gaps

Who This Trip Is For

We’re forming a small, focused team of 3–4 participants. You may be a fit if you are:

• A licensed healthcare worker or allied health professional
• Interested in long-term mission but looking for clarity
• Comfortable in cross-cultural, resource-limited settings
• Spanish proficient (at least 2 of the team members need to speak Spanish)
• Flexible, collaborative, and open to God’s leading

You do not need to have overseas experience—but you do need a heart to learn, listen, and serve.
