Refugee and Immigrant Outreach Coordinator
If you have a heart for the millions of displaced people around the globe, come serve in a missions ministry that seeks to address refugees' immediate physical, emotional and spiritual needs.
Our regional office in Spain is connected to various ministries in the North Africa/Middle East that are working with the displaced people from our region. As these people become displaced, they seek asylum in countries such as Greece and Spain. Although we have participated in refugee work with partners in Greece, we are looking to increase Reach Beyond’s direct participation in Spain itself.
This is how we are working to help fulfill the Great Commission of Christ. Will you join us?
The Refugee and Immigrant Outreach Coordinator’s responsibilities include:
- Becoming familiar with the different organizations that work with refugees and immigrants in Spain and other countries in the region.
- Matching partner opportunities to Reach Beyond’s capabilities.
- Identifying opportunities where the NAME region can minister to refugees and immigrants in Andalucia.
- Developing a ministry that would attract short-term missions team opportunities.
- Working as part of a team within the region and with other refugee-oriented ministries within Reach Beyond.
- Various other tasks as are necessary within the team.
Requirements include:
- A passion for disciple-making among unreached people from various worldviews.
- The desire and ability to live and work from the regional office in Spain.
- A commitment to serving as a long-term missionary in this role.
- Raise your missionary support and/or be self-funded.
- Spanish competency or willingness to learn it.
- Proficiency in one of the following languages: Arabic, Dari, Farsi, or French, or the willingness to learn, would be an asset.
All missionary candidates must be able to sign the Reach Beyond Statement of Faith.
