Share English Regional Club Coordinator

Share English is a ministry to those who want to learn English. This ministry helps learners who already have a basic understanding of English, to develop valuable language skills that will empower them in everyday life. For some it will improve their employment and education opportunities. For others, it will relieve isolation. But it does far more. Conversation clubs are welcoming places to learn about different cultures, challenge perceptions, discuss faith, and develop diverse friendships.
We are looking for regional club coordinators to support, encourage, and lead conversation club leaders in their assigned region. This includes keeping up-to-date with the volunteer club leaders and providing updates about what materials and resources are available. This person would have regular check-ins with club leaders, assess what their needs are, and provide guidance as needed. There is a pastoral care/member care element as leaders are working with English learners from security-sensitive countries. The regional club coordinator also works with the Share English team to feedback stories from clubs as well as resources the club leaders are requesting.
Share English Regional Club Coordinator responsibilities include:
- Encourage the start-up of new Share English Clubs in person and online
- Screen, establish, and maintain relationships with club leaders:
- Regular communication with club leaders about relevant updates and available resources
- Provide support, care and mentoring for club leaders
- Lead one or more Share English Club
- Collect and share stories of what is happening in the clubs
- Attend events to share about Share English
- Assist the Share English Ministry Team Leader with any related tasks
Requirements include:
- Excellent people skills with an ability to teach, network, inspire others and demonstrate enthusiasm
- Exceptional communication skills, especially while working with others in a variety of time zones and locations
- Able to work collaboratively with team
- Able to work in an autonomous environment with a high degree of responsibility
- Experience and success in project development
- Experience working with and supporting volunteers
- Willing to travel to promote Share English Clubs at churches, conferences and exhibitions as needed
- Lead at least one weekly Share English Club (either in person or online) a minimum of 16 weeks per year total
- The readiness and capability to begin serving within 1 year, including time to raise your missionary support and/or be self-funded.
