Europe / Eurasia

Project ID: 50365

Region: Europe/Eurasia
Ministry: Community Development, Digital Media, Healthcare, Media Production, Media Training, Refugee Relief

Reach Beyond has a long history in this highly diverse geographic region of the world, stretching from Ireland in the west to maritime Russia in the east. Throughout Europe Eurasia, you will find everything from hard-to-reach people groups who are resistant to or have never had a chance to hear the Gospel message, to cities who have become post-Christian, where deep-rooted Christian beliefs and traditions have been rejected or forgotten. We work in creative access countries, where evangelism is illegal and precautions must be taken in how we share stories, in order to protect not only our missionaries and partners, but also new believers who come to Christ. But we can celebrate that God is working throughout this region, bringing new life and hope to people who desperately need it.

Radio is still a major part of what we do, but ministry also includes international and local broadcasting, program production and training. Reach Beyond helps equip local Christ-followers to produce radio programs, web pages and social media content, engaging those far from God and discipling isolated believers.

On the Hands-side of ministry, we have worked with local partners in Central Asia to launch a permanent medical clinic, send out medical caravans and implement clean water projects. We continue to identify additional ways we can serve the felt-needs of the local communities to demonstrate the love of Jesus.

Refugee outreach is also an important piece of ministry in Europe Eurasia. More than 10,000 refugees are currently in the Moria Refugee Camp in Greece, many of whom have come out of Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq and Syria. We are currently sending short-term teams to help with food distribution, construction projects, women’s ministry and volunteer support, and we are evaluating additional long-term ways we can serve.

We look forward to continued training, support and mentoring of new and current media broadcasts in the region, medical clinic support and physician training, medical caravan outreach, clean water and community development support, refugee outreach in Greece, and building new partnerships.

This is how we are working to help fulfill the Great Commission of Christ. Will you join us?
